Fun!! We chased poor Claire all around that pumpkin patch telling her to "stand still" and "look at mommy", 'say cheese"....I got on my own nerves!!! We finally just had to take pictures of what we could. She had tons of fun. She ran wild through a field of pumpkins and had to stop to inspect each one.
Claire got her 18 month pictures today. It started out really well and she was doing great in front of the camera. Then, she saw the photographer chnage the background, got scared and refused to set foot anywhere near the canvas. We didn't get many pics before she strated screaming and throwing a fit (you'll notice the picture where she was just about done and over it). I think we got some good ones, though.
I don't know what possessed her to try it, but she LOVES doing this. In our guest room there is a bolster pillow that goes across the bed. Somehow she figured out that it is so much fun to fall on top of it over and over again. We go through this routine daily...it does look kind of fun=)
We finally got Claire's hair cut. I had really been putting it off because I was afraid they would cut too much off. Anyway, Claire's hair was looking pretty wild and I decided it was time. We went to a way too expensive...uh i mean, cute little shop where she got to choose which seat she wanted to sit in (firetruck, taxi, or airplane). With a little coaxing (animal crackers) she got in and sat for her haircut. It was over quick and she did great!
Okay, so I have done a HORRIBLE job at keeping up with posting pics. I apologize to my 3 followers =) I have been meaning to post pictures as things were happening, but then I got more and more behind and it became more and more overwhelming to try to catch up. So, I will just start from now and try to move forward. We had a great summer with tons going on and our camera was broken all summer (come to find out, it wasn't...just an operator error).
Claire went to Little Gym this summer and had a blast. Her favorite part was getting stamps on her feet at the end of class. Here are a few pics of her during a class.
Here are a few pics of Claire on Easter. This was the first holiday that wasn't her first. She had her first Easter right after she was born last year. She was really just interested in the pink grass stuff in her basket. We went to church and Claire got to wear her Laura Ashley dress. She looked so sweet. It's really hard to get a picture of her these days, she just doesn't want to sit still, so these were the best ones I got of her in her Easter dress.
Over spring break, Claire and I went down to Houston to make the rounds and visit. While we were there we were able to go to Brenham and take some Bluebonnet pics. There was this amazing field FULL of bluebonnets. There were 142 pictures, but I narrowed it down to 5 to show. Claire loved the flowers and got so excited looking at them (and eating them).
Here are some pictures of Claire's first birthday. She had a great time and loved having all of "her people" around her. What a great day! Thanks to all who could be there, we so appreciate it!
